This was the first ever Wesemann Family Trip to the Beach! We drove to Wilmington, N.C. to share the wonders of the ocean with our children. We spent days preparing them for the experience. We talked about sand, salt water, waves, sea shells, sand castles, and more. We were prepared to spend a day or two relaxing on the shore. Total time spent at the beach.... almost 2 hours. Faith cried, "I want to go back to the hotel." Well, since the vacation was for the kids, that's exactly what we did. Day two we skipped the beach and went to see the big Battleship (more pictures to come). All in all, it was a fun little getaway.

Shirtless on the shore...like father like daughter.

Does Faith look excited? I think so!

Kate spent most of her time eating sand and
rubbing it in her hair and down her back. She
enjoyed a little sand chair we made for her by
digging a hole in the sand big enough for her bum.
She was happy the entire time!
