Here is our little house in Southern Pines. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have lived here now for about five months. The landscape in North Carolina is so beautiful. It's amazing that we have a yard so green and it doesn't even need sprinklers (that's my favorite part because Doug used to constantly work on our sprinklers)! I've added some pictures of Will and Faith playing in the yard. I also took a picture of our backyard and the swingset Doug built for the kids. When we open our blinds in the house all we see are huge evergreen shrubs and trees--NO NEIGHBORS! It is so private and I love that! The yard is filled with relaxing sounds, diverse birds for watching, and funny little squirrels scavenging for food daily.

What a gorgeous backyard. I love it! Just like Redmond. Think of all the hours of unsupervised exploring your kids can do....not. Maybe supervised exploring instead. I'm so proud of you for updating your blog, keep up the good work!

I am so glad you posted these pictures. In my mind your house and backyard looked so much different. And I will echo Kristy's remarks that it reminds me of Redmond as well. It looks like such a beautiful area. I wish we could come visit.
